Phil Hanceford came to The Wilderness Society's BLM Action Center after graduating from law school. Prior to this, Phil worked on grassroots campaigns and researched policy for several non-profit environmental and public interest groups.

Phil hails from the green valleys and blue ridges of North Carolina.

When not hiking or flyfishing in the West's stunning landscapes, you can find Phil strummin' a guitar or mando with Keenan, his banjo-pickin' wife, or out playing with his trusty four-legged neurotic companion, Willie.
