Outdoor mom Lynn Donaldson wants her daughter and two sons to grow up wild. She needs places like Montana’s Mill Creek to share with her children. What might seem like just a dead end on a forest service road to others is a favorite sledding spot for Lynn and her family.
Lynn grew up exploring the wilds of Montana and she wants her kids to do the same. The professional “tumbleweed” photographer grew up on her family’s farm in central Montana. She credits her love of gravel roads, cowboy diners and truckin’ songs to her parents, whose idea of “vacation” was hitting the highway in their giant Oldsmobile.
Lynn grew up exploring the wilds of Montana and she wants her kids to do the same.
Donaldson now lives in Livingston, Montana, with her husband and three children. She shoots photos regularly for magazines such as Travel + Leisure and Sunset, as well as for The New York Times.
