Characterized as fun-loving and eccentric with a great intellect, “Moo-moo” preserved seventy-nine acres of land to the Stowe Land Trust and championed legislation that prohibited billboards in Vermont in 1968. A renowned rock climber who scaled the Matterhorn, she could be counted on to pass out nuts to the animals she encountered.
