Outdoor recreationists and local businesses have an economic interest in preserving and expanding the Shoshone’s wild and pristine areas.
The Wilderness Society works with diverse people to protect the wild lands of the Shoshone National Forest.
The new forest plan for the Shoshone National Forest will determine how the forest is used and how much will remain wild for the next 20 years. The plan will specify whether areas are preserved or opened up to oil and gas development.
We are helping to mobilize a coalition of conservationists, small businesses, outdoor enthusiasts and local elected leaders to advocate for a wild Shoshone National Forest.
