Cathy Douglas Stone has served on The Wilderness Society governing council since 1999.
Cathy currently serves as special assistant for environmental services to Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino.
She sits on the board of directors of The Island Alliance of Boston and is vice-chair of the partnership legislated to plan and implement preservation of the Boston Harbor Islands as a national park. Cathy also serves as a board member of The American Conservation Association.
She is the former chief of environmental services for the City of Boston and a former partner of Foley, Hoag and Eliot of Boston.
Cathy holds a LLM from Georgetown University and a JD and BA from American University, both in Washington, D.C.
