Patrick L. Smith
Patrick (Pat) Smith has served on The Wilderness Society governing council since 1994.
Pat is a partner in a Montana law firm, Smith & Associates, which specializes in American Indian law. He is a former managing attorney for the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes and a member of the Assiniboine Tribe.
Prior to obtaining his law degree, Pat was an organizer and lobbyist for the Northern Plains Resource Council, an agriculture-based conservation group opposed to coal strip mining and mine-mouth power plants.
He presently serves on the Montana Redistricting Commission and the Board of Trustees for the University of Montana School of Law.
