Brenda Kane joined the The Wilderness Society in 2011. Brenda is a Boulder native, adventure lover, and digital strategist committed to leveraging digital media to promote environmental protection.

She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she studied Sociology, Film Theory, and Spanish. Upon graduation in 2004, she worked as a freelance videographer, visual journalist, and Spanish instructor, first in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, and then in Austin, Texas. Her digital work has been exhibited in Austin City Hall, the AGL International Film Festival in Austin, and various venues in Denver.

In 2007, Brenda returned to Colorado to earn her Master of Arts degree in Digital Media at the University of Denver. While in graduate school, she also worked as a Training and Health Communications Specialist for a federal public health initiative.

Brenda currently works in digital strategy and user experience design for The Wilderness Society to promote education and advocacy.

In her free time, Brenda enjoys spending time in the mountains and practicing yoga
