Brent Martin
Brent Martin has spent most of his adult life working in forest and farmland conservation in the mountains of north Georgia and western North Carolina. Most of this time was spent with Georgia Forestwatch and the Land Trust for the Little Tennessee. Brent is now the Southern Appalachian Regional Director for The Wilderness Society.
He received an M.A. and A.B.D. in History, and spent a few years attempting a dissertation on the historical land use patterns in northwest Georgia.
Brent is married to a songwriter and lives in the Cowee community of western North Carolina where he enjoys fishing, writing, gardening, and a variety of cultural and natural studies. He claims he's spent far too much time trying to grow Mountain Camellias over the past few years.
