Evan Hjerpe is a Senior Economist in the Wilderness Society's Alaska office. He was a visiting professor at Northern Arizona University’s School of Forestry, where he earned both a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Natural Resource Economics and Forest Management.
Jason joined the Wilderness Society in 2011 as a Watershed Ecologist and is generally focused on quantifying the effects of human impacts on aquatic ecosystems.
Lois Epstein is Arctic Program Director for The Wilderness Society. Previously, she was a private consultant on environmental and policy issues, and a senior engineer for several national and regional non-profit organizations.
As Alaska Regional Director, Nicole has worked with tribes, members of the public, conservation partners and land managing agencies to advance conservation measures in the state of Alaska.
Spencer Phillips, PhD, is Senior Director for Economics Research for The Wilderness Society. With more than 20 years' experience in the field, his goal is to help people, communities and institutions understand and attain the benefits of improved land stewardship.
Tim Woody is the Communications Manager for the Alaska office. Prior to joining The Wilderness Society he was the editor of Alaska magazine, where he managed the editorial operation and oversaw development of that publication’s digital edition and social media marketing efforts.
