Emily is the Communications Manager for our Wildland Designation team, based in Washington, D.C.

Before joining The Wilderness Society in March 2010, she served as Media Relations Manager at the Save Darfur Coalition. Prior to that, she worked as a communications manager for Environmental Defense Fund’s climate campaign. She began her career in D.C. working at a progressive think tank, the Center for National Policy.

Emily holds a bachelors degree from Indiana University and a Masters in Holocaust and Genocide Studies from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

When Emily is not working to save our wild lands, she is exploring the D.C. area with her rescued husky-mix Winston, visiting farmers markets or cooking sustainable and humane food for friends.
