Joshua Mantell has been with The Wilderness Society since Fall 2011 and is currently the Carbon Management Campaign Manager. Joshua works with the Energy Campaign and Government Relations Team to find ways to reduce carbon pollution traced to federal lands.
Joshua came to The Wilderness Society from Capitol Hill where he worked for the Green the Capitol Office. At the Green the Capitol office, he was intimately involved in working with representatives' offices in becoming more energy efficient and resource conscious.
As someone who grew up in Northern California, Joshua learned to love public lands through his many visits to the great national parks close to home, such as Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks. While he has lived in Washington D.C. since graduating from UC Santa Barbara in 2007, California and its beauty will always hold a special place for Joshua.
