Max Greenberg joined The Wilderness Society in October 2013 after about five years of environmental communications work in both traditional and digital settings.
Immediately prior to his time at TWS, Max spent a little over a year on the environment beat at Media Matters for America, a watchdog group. There, he covered everything from polar bears to plug-in hybrids.
Before that, Max did traditional and digital communications work at the National Wildlife Federation for more than three years, drawing on a love of nature that was cemented the first time he (gently) upended a log to see what lived underneath.
Max graduated from the University of Maryland. He is a lifelong native of the Washington, DC area and a suffering fan of some of its most pathetic sports teams.
