Paul Spitler, Director Wilderness Campaigns, works out of the Bozeman, Montana office on wildland designation campaigns.
Paul previously directed the California Wilderness Coalition where he helped to initiate and lead the campaign to designate new wilderness areas across the state.
While in California, Paul also oversaw campaigns to reform off-road vehicle management and improve logging policies in national forests. While with the Resources Law Group, he helped design and implement the Preserving Wild California program, a five-year $150 million philanthropic initiative aimed at securing permanent protections for key California wildlands. Paul has served on numerous boards and commissions.
He has a degree in geology from the University of California at Davis and a law degree from Stanford University.
