Living in Los Angeles, the outdoors play a big role in improving my quality of life. I’m usually surrounded by traffic on freeways and crowded city streets, so a nearby escape to the San Gabriel Mountains is a chance to see peaceful forest views and breathe some fresh air. In Southern California, we are very fortunate to have the incredible San Gabriel Mountains. On July 7, under a big white tent overlooking a lake, east of downtown Los Angeles, a standing room crowd of nearly 400 people turned out to help protect and preserve the San Gabriel Mountains and rivers as part of President Obama’s America’s Great Outdoors conservation initiative. Read more
