Yosemite National Park, California

Yosemite National Park is one of many national parks that will be negatively impacted by budget cuts this year.
At Yosemite, ranger-led programs and campground staff are likely to be reduced with less focus on food storage violations. These reductions may contribute to visitor safety concerns and increased bear mortality rates.
The Wilderness Society and its partners are working to restore these cuts, and keep America’s parks and campgrounds open and available. Among the ways to solve the budget crisis affecting our parks is cut out the unnecessary tax breaks that fossil fuels like coal and oil are getting.
