The 112th Congress has been the most anti-wilderness Congress in history. For the past two years, they have engaged in a steady war on wildlands. And now, in their final hours, the 112th Congress is blocking more than two dozen wilderness designation bills from getting to the House floor.
If Congress does not pass these bills before the 112th adjourns this month, they will become the first Congress since 1966 that fails to protect a single acre of wilderness.
Time is running out for the 27 wilderness bills.
