Designated West-Wide Energy Corridors and Missed Opportunities for Renewable Energy

This map shows designated West-wide energy corridors and Qualified Resource Areas (QRAs). QRAs were identified through the Western Governors' Association's Western Renewable Energy Zones (WREZ) process as areas with high renewable energy potential and minimal environmental conflicts. Many QRAs are not served by designated corridors, demonstrating the missed opportunities for facilitating renewable energy development.

Sam Goldman
