Eastern Sierra and Northern San Gabriel Wild Heritage Act – California (H.R. 6156/S. 3069)

This legislation would permanently protect more than 470,000 acres of Wilderness from the glacial valleys and alpine lakes of the High Sierra to the breathtaking White Mountains, home to California’s oldest trees, the bristlecone pine. The bill would also protect 52 miles of Wild and Scenic Rivers, including the stunning desert oasis of the Amargosa River.

Sam Goldman
Sam has been with The Wilderness Society since Fall 2007. He came most recently from M+R Strategic Services in Washington, DC where he worked with national environmental groups to improve their online campaign work and field organizing capacity.
