“We are disappointed in the rule, this is basically about half a million acres in Idaho that when the rule takes effect will lose the protection they enjoy today," said Craig Gehrke, Wilderness Society regional director. "Basically what comes out today is that Idaho is one of the only states in the nation that has less protective roadless lands than Montana, Washington, Oregon, because of this rule."
