Global warming by the state

Global warming is not just a distant threat. Rising temperatures, shifts in weather patterns and increasing storm intensity are just a few of the symptoms already being felt in communities across America.
The Wilderness Society took a closer look at how these changes are already affecting states — and what’s expected to happen if we fail to stop heat-trapping pollution and protect our natural resources. In the resulting series of reports, we look at how global warming will likely affect the natural resources, communities and local economies in different places around the country. Included are recommendations about what can done to protect people, economies, wildlife and wildlands.

Sam Goldman
Sam has been with The Wilderness Society since Fall 2007. He came most recently from M+R Strategic Services in Washington, DC where he worked with national environmental groups to improve their online campaign work and field organizing capacity. Before that, Sam was the Assistant National Field Director for U.S. PIRG where he covered a variety of issues including the fight to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
