Natural Resources Adaptation Provisions of H.R. 2454, America's Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009

The week of May 17 the Energy and Commerce committee began debating the American Clean Energy and Security Act (H.R. 2454) — an historic energy and global warming bill that promises to put the country on a new path of energy security, clean economic development and environmental health. The Wilderness Society has worked with a diverse coalition of organizations to ensure that a portion of revenues generated through the bill would be dedicated to protecting our natural resources from the effects of global warming. This brief summarizes the natural resources adaptation provision within the bill.
