West-Wide Energy Corridors: Key Points

The Energy Policy Act of 2005 mandated the designation of West-wide Energy Corridors on federal lands in the eleven western states. The Records of Decision have been issued for this process, but there are many improvements that must be made for the energy corridors to achieve the Obama administration's goals of quickly and responsibly developing the West's renewable energy resources. This fact sheet includes background information as well as major concerns and potential fixes.
