The Wilderness Society spends a lot of time criticizing the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.
But in the spirit of this season of giving, the environmental group looked for some positive things to praise regarding the agency, and it found one of them within the BLM’s Glenwood Springs Field Office.
The Wilderness Society has honored that office with one of its awards for conservation achievement, for creation of a local advisory group to help guide creation of the office’s new resource management plan.
… “The reason we wanted to recognize it is it could be a model for the BLM nationwide,” said Nada Culver, senior counsel for the Wilderness Society in Denver.
