A scoping study by Stratus Consulting Inc., prepared for The Wilderness Society, on the amount of unaccounted greenhouse gas emissions from federal lands.
The study shows that the federal government may not have accounted for 95% of the GHG emissions from federal lands - amounting to about 25% of emissions nationwide.
This sign-on letter was sent to White House Council on Environmental Quality Chair Nancy Sutley from a number of organizations. As the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) helps move the nation toward greater reliance on clean energy, these organizations seek to draw attention to continued assaults on the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) with regard to the development and siting of renewable energy facilities.
