WASHINGTON, February 15, 2019 ---- Today’s emergency declaration by President Trump is an assault on America’s communities and natural systems as well as an assault on democracy, The Wilderness Society said in a statement today.

“This divisive, fake emergency over a border wall assaults our communities, our democratic process and the natural systems in the borderlands region that the wall would disrupt. We stand in solidarity with our border communities whose lives will suffer from this racist agenda and executive overreach.”
