Dave Matthews, Betty White and Wendie Malick Launch “Wild Days of Summer”

Entercom Communications Corp. began a nationwide $1 million public service announcement (PSA) campaign on behalf of The Wilderness Society.

Earlier this summer, Entercom Communications Corp. (NYSE: ETM), began a nationwide $1 million public service announcement (PSA) campaign on behalf of The Wilderness Society. The PSA campaign, part of The Wilderness Society’s Wild Days of Summer, features Dave Matthews, Betty White and Wendie Malick, and it will run across all 111 of Entercom’s stations in 23 markets across the country.

“The Wilderness Society is an outstanding organization that has played a vital, leading role in protecting our nation’s public lands. We are very pleased to be connecting the listeners of our 111 stations across the country with this important organization that works on behalf of all Americans,” said Entercom President and CEO David Field. “For the past several years, through our 1Thing environmental initiative, we have committed ourselves to becoming more energy efficient, reducing our carbon footprint, and promoting important environmental causes. Our long-standing partnership with The Wilderness Society is an important part of that commitment.”

As part of this campaign, Entercom will produce and broadcast public affairs programming featuring Wilderness Society President Jamie Williams. Topics will be specific to Entercom markets, including the Sierra Nevada area, in Sacramento and San Francisco; the Colorado Plateau, in Denver; and the Great Smoky Mountains, in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Greenville, South Carolina.
