FAA Visual Flight Rules Near Noise Sensitive Areas

Friday, September 17, 2010

In this Advisory Circular (AC), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) encourages pilots and other operators of airborne craft to be cognizant of noise-sensitive areas. These areas include federally managed lands, such as parks, recreational areas, wildlife refuges and cultural and historical sites. Created in 2004, the FAA requested that pilots and operators circulate this advisory and voluntarily avoid noise sensitive areas. This kind of advisory is helpful in maintaining pristine landscapes we cherish.
