Letter in Opposition of HR 910

Thursday, March 10, 2011

On March 9, 2011 The Wilderness Society sent this letter to the subcommittee of the House of Representatives about to consider legislation to prevent the EPA from protecting public health.  The bill, HR 910, introduced by Rep Upton (R-MI), is premised on bad science and the pleadings of polluters who would rather continue dumping their harmful greenhouse gases into the atmosphere for free, as they have for generations.  It would force the harm of climate disruption to be borne by the public instead of by the entities responsible for endangering the public health.
