Policy and Guidelines for Fish and Wildlife Management in National Forest and BLM Wilderness

This statement of policy and guidelines was created for the management of fish and wildlife in National Forest and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) administered wildernesses. Amended in 2006, it is intended to serve as a framework for enhanced cooperation between State fish and wildlife agencies, the Forest Service (FS) and the BLM in accordance with the Wilderness Act of 1964. The policies and guidelines explained address a breadth of issues, ranging from Use of Motorized Equipment to Angling, Hunting and Trapping.
