Western Nevada boasts some of the best solar resources in the nation, with great potential for clean energy development in the flat expanses within the basin and range landscape. In particular, the proposed Millers Solar Energy Zone (SEZ), a little more than halfway between Las Vegas and Reno, stands out as an exceptional area for solar development, and based on available data, could be developed with minimal environmental conflicts.
