A large number of conservation groups filed a formal protest of the Proposed Resource Management Plans (RMP) and Final Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) for the Sonoran Desert National Monument and Lower Sonoran Field Office. The protest focuses on a number of areas in which the Proposed RMP/Final EIS fails to comply with the Bureau of Land Management’s legal mandates, policies and overall responsibilities to manage our public lands.
