West-Wide Energy Corridors and Missed Opportunities: An Engineering Assessment
The West-wide energy corridor designations, finalized by the Bush Administration in January 2009, failed to recognize opportunities to maximize renewable energy potential while minimizing impacts to sensitive public lands. This fact sheet summarizes a study completed by an engineering expert which identifies opportunities to access wind in Wyoming while avoiding corridors through Arches National Park and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
