As an Associate Director, Jeff Widen provides strategic support to campaigns focused on wilderness and conservation designations for BLM lands, particularly in Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.
Mike Quigley is our Arizona Wildlands Campaigns Coordinator. Mike comes to The Wilderness Society from the Sky Island Alliance where he spent the last five years spearheading the campaign to protect the Tumacacori Highlands in southern Arizona.
Meredith joined The Wilderness Society in January 2006 and currently focuses her time working with donors in the Southeast to “keep it wild” in the Southern Appalachians and other special landscapes across the United States.
Jill Gottesman brings the skills of a diverse work history in nonprofit management, environmental education, wilderness therapy and social work to her role of Outreach Coordinator for The Wilderness Society’s southeastern regional office.
Hugh is Landscape Conservation Planner and joined the southern Appalachian office of The Wilderness Society in November 2011 after a fifteen year run as Conservation Planner for the Southern Appalachian Forest Coalition.
Brent Martin has spent most of his adult life working in forest and farmland conservation in the mountains of north Georgia and western North Carolina. Most of this time was spent with Georgia Forestwatch and the Land Trust for the Little Tennessee.
Peter Dykstra is the Pacific Northwest Regional Director at The Wilderness Society. Based in Seattle, Peter works throughout Washington and Oregon. He also serves on The Wilderness Society’s Recreation Program Leadership Team.
Mark joined The Wilderness Society staff in 1996 and provides Geographic Information Systems (GIS) support for ecosystem study projects in the Society’s Center for Landscape Analysis (CLA) in Seattle.
As Regional Conservation Representative, Kitty helps lead The Wilderness Society’s efforts to protect, restore, and raise awareness about Washington’s North Cascades region, one of the country’s largest and wildest ecosystems.
Dr. Janice Thomson is the Assistant Vice President of Landscape Analysis. Her experience in remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) has been brought to bear on many types of landscape analysis projects in her time with the organization.
