As Alaska Regional Director, Nicole has worked with tribes, members of the public, conservation partners and land managing agencies to advance conservation measures in the state of Alaska.
Anne Merwin is Director of Wilderness Policy. Prior to joining The Wilderness Society, she was the senior policy director for a regional watershed conservation group. Her past experience also includes several years in the private sector as an environmental planning consultant.
In April 2011, Paul Sanford became the Wilderness Society’s first Recreation Director. He manages the Society’s work on recreation policy issues, and its programs to connect more people, particularly youth and underserved communities, to the outdoors.
Tim Woody is the Communications Manager for the Alaska office. Prior to joining The Wilderness Society he was the editor of Alaska magazine, where he managed the editorial operation and oversaw development of that publication’s digital edition and social media marketing efforts.
Soren works with a core team in the Central Rockies Office, BLM Action Center and Ecology and Economics Research Department, along with coalition partners, to head up The Wilderness Society's expanded campaign to protect Vermillion Basin and other wildlands in the northwest corner of Colorad
Jennifer has been with The Wilderness Society since 2005 and brings years of experience in media relations, public and private partnerships, promotions, special events, integrated strategic marketing plans, and crisis communications to our team.
As a Planning and Policy Associate, Juli brings to the BLM Action Center a lifelong love of the great outdoors and experience in environmental advocacy from her previous work at Environment Colorado and CALPIRG.
