The proposed SunZia Southwest transmission project would run from central New Mexico to south-central Arizona. The project should not be built through Arizona’s sensitive San Pedro Valley or the Aravaipa Canyon area.
The proposed TransWest Express transmission project would cross parts of Wyoming, Colorado, Utah and Nevada. It would connect the largest wind energy project ever proposed in Wyoming to the Las Vegas area.
The proposed Gateway West Transmission project would cross parts of Wyoming and Idaho, and would likely carry both fossil-fuel-based and renewable energy.
The Power Company of Wyoming has proposed to build a 1,000-turbine wind project on 215,000 acres of public, private and state land in southern Wyoming.
