WASHINGTON, DC – The Wilderness Society announced the 2010 recipient of the Gloria Barron Scholarship. The $10,000 annual scholarship was awarded to Rose Graves, a graduate student of University of Vermont. Tom Barron, a Wilderness Society Governing Council Member, created this scholarship in honor of his mother Gloria Barron who is a dedicated educator and tireless advocate for wilderness protection. Through this scholarship, Barron “hopes to encourage some of our nation's best conservationists at a crucial point in their careers.
