While at Earthjustice, she developed creative innovative approaches and solutions balancing the organization's needs and objectives with risk mitigation. Before Earthjustice, Diane was the chief program officer and general counsel at Legal Aid at Work (LAAW), a legal services non-profit that assists low-wage workers with employment issues. She oversaw LAAW’s seven legal services programs, ensuring programmatic goals aligned with the organization’s mission and collaborated with LAAW’s program directors to implement goals and strategies for delivery of innovative client legal services. She assisted attorneys and legal staff with program, case, policy, and ethical issues; implemented procedures and technology solutions to facilitate efficient case management and legal services delivery; developed and monitored annual program budgets in conjunction with the organization’s program directors; and instituted legal skills and practice management training as needed. She litigated select employment cases on behalf of vulnerable workers and their communities. As LAAW's general counsel and as a leadership team member, she focused on internal legal, finance, professional responsibility, corporate governance, and personnel matters.

Prior to LAAW, Diane was a complex litigation partner at Morgan Lewis, & Bockius (MLB) where she guided clients through complex problems at the intersection of law and business. She has handled hundreds of cases and arbitrations, including federal and state court trials.
