Kitty helps lead The Wilderness Society’s efforts to protect, restore and raise awareness about Washington’s North Cascades region, one of the country’s largest and wildest ecosystems.
Kitty joined The Wilderness Society in 2010 after five years of leading community conservation planning projects for The Trust for Public Land in Washington state. She also brings a background of tribal forest management, wildfire projection planning and land-use planning to TWS.
A Seattle native, Kitty has a deep passion for the outdoors and is committed to protecting wildlands and recreational opportunities for future generations.
Kitty has a B.A. from Whitman College and an M.A. in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon. She enjoys cooking and gardening and getting outside to hike, run, sail and ski with her husband and two children.
