She leads a team of advocates working to pass laws and Administrative policy to harness the power of our public lands to be a part of climate change solution. Our government relations team works to advance TWS’s goal of protecting 30% of our nation’s lands and waters by 2030; to advance equitable access to the benefits of nature and; to reduce carbon pollution to net zero on public lands by 2030.
Lydia’s love of public lands took root in the Shawnangunk mountains in her hometown of New Paltz, NY. A graduate of Williams College, Lydia has been working in the national environmental community for more than two decades. She lives in Chevy Chase, DC – next to DC’s beloved Rock Creek Park - with her husband and two kids.
