His main focus is national forest management and policy, ranging from roadless area conservation to watershed restoration.
He also helps coordinate all of The Wilderness Society's litigation activities.
Mike was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan. He earned a B.A. from Yale University and received a law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law.
Mike enjoys backpacking, bread baking and tennis. He has a daughter Emily (Stanford '10) and a son Corey (Columbia '14).
