Owyhee Canyonlands: Our Partners

After eight years of working together with diverse partners, the Owyhee Canyonlands finally has the protections it deserves. But we aren’t through yet.

Today, we continue to work with as many different people as possible to care for this important landscape, including:

  • Ranchers
  • Local government officials
  • Agricultural interest groups
  • Sportsmen groups
  • Outfitters and guides
  • Local citizens
  • Off-road vehicle groups
  • Native tribes

Teamwork leads to Victory

The protection of the Owyhee Canyonlands was only possible because of the collaborative efforts between all of our diverse partners, including the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes and Senator Mike Crapo.

Recognized Problem Solvers

Our collaborative group has received the 2011 Dottie and Ed Stimpson Award for Civic Engagement from the City Club of Boise. The award is given annually to a person or organization that exemplifies the conviction that no problem is so great that it can’t be solved by people with open minds using civil discourse.
