Williams underscores that climate investments be shared equitably as the nation transitions to a clean energy economy.

(Washington, DC) This week, The Wilderness Society President Jamie Williams met with Vice President Kamala Harris and other conservation leaders to discuss implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act. Following the meeting, he said:

“The Biden-Harris Administration made history with passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, the country's largest emissions-reduction investment to date.  As we transition to a clean-energy economy, we must ensure that those communities most impacted by legacy pollution receive an equitable share of the environmental benefits and economic investments this historic legislation promises.”
