Organize Your Own Event

Melvin Cade

Can’t find a local or nearby rally? Organize your own!

Organizing a rally is a great way to raise awareness and put pressure on office holders. Reach out to likeminded people and groups to help you organize and spread the word to their networks. Partnering with local conservation groups will ensure extra support and participant turn out.

Before the event, be sure to find out if your city requires a permit for demonstrations. You'll also want to alert local press to ensure coverage in local news outlets and/or bloggers or social media personalities who might take interest and share news about your event on their networks.

Finally, be sure to invite and track attendees with a Facebook events page and ask partner groups to share on their networks.

Submit your event to The Action Network for extra reach.
