Previously, she worked for the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union where she organized workers in urban and rural communities across the Northwest. Prior to her work with UFCW, Brenda worked with carwash workers and community colleges. She first partnered with TWS through her work with Pacoima Beautiful in Los Angeles, where she participated as one of the Urban to Wild partners during the San Gabriel Mountains monument campaign.

When she’s not at work, Brenda maintains her commitment to social justice causes, likes discovering new parks around the city, and trying her hand at cooking new cuisines.
